WhatsApp Wrapped is a visual recap of your WhatsApp conversations, inspired by Spotify Wrapped. It turns a chat history into animated stats — who sent the most messages, favorite emojis, most active days and hours — generated automatically from your exported chat file.

WhatsApp Wrapped (or a WhatsApp recap) is a visual, animated summary of your conversations, in the same spirit as Spotify Wrapped. Instead of songs, it reveals the patterns of a chat: message volume, most active participants, favorite emojis and the busiest moments.

What the recap shows

From a single exported conversation, the recap calculates and presents, among other things:

Who sent the most messages in the chat
The most-used emojis for each person
The most active days and hours
The words and expressions that repeat most
How the conversation evolved over time

How it is generated

You export the conversation straight from WhatsApp ("Export chat", without media) and upload the .zip or .txt file. The system reads only the text metadata needed to build the stats and returns the recap in seconds. No message is read by a person or stored.

Does it work with groups?

Yes. The recap works for both one-on-one chats and groups — in groups it compares each member’s participation, which usually produces the most fun results to share.
